Allegations:Medical Malpractice, Dental Malpractice
Henry will be filing a medical malpractice lawsuit against Hartford Dental Group, LLC for negligent dental care provided during Root Canal Treatments. Henry underwent root canal treatments on April 19, 2021, and February 14, 2022, both at Hartford Dental Group, LLC. The Root Canal Treatments resulted in an overfill or overextension; a situation where the filling materials used to seal the root canal system (gutta-percha) was placed beyond the natural end of the root canal, extending into the surrounding bone and tissue.
The overextension caused discomfort, pain, inflammation, and infection, and required further retreatments and intervention. During subsequent treatment, it was found that the apex of the root was damaged and blown open from the previous root canal treatment.
Henry will allege that Hartford Dental Group, LLC breached the standard of care during each Root Canal Treatment by failing to perform a complete apical fill of the endodontic material, failure to use a rubber dam, overinstrumentation, endodontic overfill, and failure to obtain informed consent. These breaches of the standard of care have resulted in pain, discomfort, infection, swelling, and potentially nerve damage.
This lawsuit has been scheduled for a Jury Trial on March 3, 2026.
